How to change networks in MetaMask

MetaMask now manages network connections on a per-dapp basis. This means you can be actively connected to multiple dapps at once, with each dapp using a different network.

MetaMask also displays your assets across all enabled networks automatically. You can still filter your assets per network and easily switch a connected dapp’s network from your home screen.

Adding/customizing networks

If you’re looking to add, customize, or remove networks, refer to the steps in this How to add a network guide

How to filter assets per network

MetaMask defaults to a multichain portfolio view displaying all your crypto across enabled networks. If you want to filter assets per network:

  • Click the ‘Enabled networks’ dropdown from the tokens tab

MetaMask extension enabled networks dropdown

  • Select which network(s) to display by checking or unchecking each enabled network
