How to fund your card
You are viewing guidance for Deutschland. MetaMask Card features and availability differ by region — set your region below for guidance accurate to you.
To spend with your MetaMask Card, you need to approve spending limits from your MetaMask accounts. You do not need to top-up your card or move funds out of your wallet to spend with your MetaMask Card.
MetaMask Card uses Linea, Solana, Base, and Monad, so you can choose your preferred network for spending. You can also approve spending directly from your Money Account.
Move funds to your Money Account or preferred network
You can fund your Money Account by clicking 'Add' in your 'Money' tab.
If you prefer to use a different MetaMask Account for spending, you can move funds by using MetaMask's native swap feature within Extension and Mobile. Simply click the 'Swap' button, select Linea, Solana, Base, or Monad, and select the token you want to move.
Spend from your Money Account
You can link your Money Account to your MetaMask Card to spend directly from your Money Account funds. To link your Money Account, open MetaMask Mobile and tap 'Money' in the bottom navbar.
Then, tap 'Link Card' to link your MetaMask Card to your Money Account.
Once your card is linked, you can easily spend directly from your Money Account and claim rewards. Your spending limit will automatically be set to the total amount of available funds in your Money Account, and you do not need to pay a network fee to approve this spending limit.
To change your spending limit, click 'Manage', and then 'Manage limit'.
Click 'Spending limit' to add a manual spending limit. Note that you will have to pay a network fee to approve this spending limit.
When you link your Money Account with your MetaMask Card, the Money Account will become your primary funding source. If you want to spend with a different asset, such as USDC on Linea, you'll need to unlink your Money Account first.
Spend from other MetaMask Accounts
You can also spend from regular self-custodial MetaMask accounts. To give MetaMask Card permission to start spending from an account, you will need to set a spending limit. You can set spending limits for multiple accounts and networks by repeating the process.
Remember, if your Money Account is linked, you will need to unlink it before you can spend from other MetaMask Accounts.
When you set a spending limit, also known as a spending cap, you choose a certain token amount for MetaMask Card to spend from your account. These funds will remain in your account until you spend them, and you can revoke the spending cap at any time.
You can set and manage spending limits on MetaMask Mobile, or on the web dashboard.

- Web dashboard
You can natively add funds to your card in MetaMask Mobile (version 8.0 or later). Open the mobile app, tap the menu icon in the top right corner, and select 'MetaMask Card'.
On the next screen, click 'Add funds'. You can then choose to buy tokens directly from the app, or swap existing tokens into a spendable token on Linea, Base, Monad, or Solana.
To spend with a different asset, click 'Change asset', and select the asset you would like to spend with. If this asset does not yet have an approved spending limit, you will be taken to the web dashboard to set a spending limit.
Head to the web dashboard and click 'Enable tokens'.
You can choose to either ‘Approve card spending’, meaning that you allow MetaMask Card to spend as much of a specific token as you have in your account:
Or you can choose to ‘Edit limit’, meaning that you can only spend as much of a specific token as per the limit you’ve set:
Learn more about managing your spending limit here.
Each time you set a spending limit, you will have to pay a gas fee to approve the transaction.
If you choose ‘Approve card spending’, you’ll only have to pay a gas fee once to allow MetaMask Card to use this token.
If you choose ‘Edit limit’, you’ll have to pay a gas fee every time you approve a new limit. For example, if you set your initial limit to 20 USDC, and spend that entire limit, you’ll need to set a new limit to keep spending USDC. When you approve a new limit, you’ll have to pay a gas fee again.
You can also delegate multiple tokens for each network; you can then set a priority to decide which tokens should be spent in which order.
Supported tokens
MetaMask Card currently supports the following tokens on the following networks for users:
- Linea: mUSD, USDC, USDT, wETH, EURe, and GBPe
- Solana: USDC and USDT
- Base: USDC, USDT, wETH, and EURc
- Monad: USDC
You can also spend mUSD directly from your linked Money Account.
How do I get Monerium's EURe or GBPe on Linea?
EURe and GBPe are stablecoins issued by Monerium, and you can buy the token directly from Monerium. Currently, you should not swap either token on Linea, due to low liquidity.
Set a spending priority
You can set spending limits for MetaMask Card with multiple tokens. You need to set one token that will be spent first; if you do not have enough of this token in your account to complete a transaction, the token next in line will be used instead. Learn more about spending preference here.
