Use a blockchain explorer
MetaMask does not currently have a built-in feature to export transaction history as a CSV or PDF file, but you can retrieve your data using the following method:
- Copy your wallet address: Open MetaMask, click on your account name, then tap the three dots next to it.
- Open the blockchain explorer: Click “View on Etherscan” (or the relevant explorer, such as BaseScan, ArbiScan, etc.).
- Export your transaction history: Scroll to the bottom of the explorer page and click “CSV Export” to download your data.
Use a crypto tax tool
- Connect your MetaMask wallet to a third-party crypto tax tool like Crypto Tax Calculator.
- Import transactions by entering your wallet address.
- Generate tax reports in CSV or PDF format.
- Only use trusted third-party tools and verify their security before connecting your wallet.
- Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with any platform, service, or individual.
