What is MetaMask Card?
MetaMask is launching a powerful new way to experience blockchain in your everyday life — the MetaMask Card. With MetaMask Card, your self-custodial MetaMask wallet meets the worldwide accessibility of Mastercard transactions.
What is MetaMask Card?
With MetaMask Card, you can spend your tokens on everyday transactions, both IRL and online, wherever Mastercard is accepted.
MetaMask Card gives you complete control over your funds. You’ll designate tokens from your MetaMask wallet, set spending limits, and have complete access to your funds until you complete a transaction. At the time of your transaction, the MetaMask Card converts your available tokens into fiat currency (e.g., USD, euros, £).
Virtual card and Metal card
MetaMask Card is currently available with two different card types:
- The Virtual card - the Free tier
- The Metal card - the Premium tier (available for users in the United States, excluding Vermont)
The Virtual card is free to use, while the Metal card is a premium option you can opt into. Note that you must order a Metal card to receive one; it will not be automatically sent to you. Learn more about the Metal card here.
Once your eligible transaction is finalized, you'll earn benefits based on your card tier.
Supported tokens
MetaMask Card currently supports the following tokens on the following networks for users outside the US:
- Linea: mUSD, USDC, USDT, wETH, EURe, GBPe, aUSDC, and amUSD
- Solana: USDC and USDT
- Base: USDC, USDT, and aBasUSDC
For US users, the following tokens and networks are supported:
- Linea: mUSD, amUSD, USDC, and aUSDC
- Base: USDC, USDT, and aBasUSDC (not currently supported for users in New York and Texas)
Simply designate which tokens you would like to spend, set a spending limit, and tap MetaMask Card for instant payments.
Partnered with Crypto Life
To bring you MetaMask Card, MetaMask has partnered with Crypto Life, a card program manager with Mastercard leading the way on web3 card initiatives.

If you're in an eligible country, you can sign up natively on MetaMask Mobile (version 7.64.1 or later), or with MetaMask Portfolio. For MetaMask Mobile, click the card icon in the top right corner of the screen, and sign up.
