What is MetaMask Rewards?
MetaMask Rewards is the official loyalty program for MetaMask. Eligible trading transactions, such as Swaps and perps, earn you points towards rewards: lower transaction fees, token allocations, exclusive offers, and more.
The first season of MetaMask Rewards, Season 1, ended Thursday, January 22nd at 11:00pm EST. To redeem your rewards, check out the Season hub for more information.
How does MetaMask Rewards work?
MetaMask Rewards is divided into seasons, approximately 3 months long. Each season has a different set of rewards and challenges. Season 1 ended on Thursday, January 22nd at 11:00pm EST, and Season 2 has not yet been announced.
You can no longer earn points for Season 1, but you can now redeem end of season rewards.
How do I earn reward points?
You can no longer earn points for Season 1, as the season has ended.
The following information has been kept for reference purposes.
Technically speaking, points were calculated based on the fee paid for the transaction, which scaled with the value of the transaction. When you pay a full fee, you earned the full number of points for the transaction. If you pay a discounted fee, you earned a proportionate number of points. For example, when you reached level 4, you received a 50% perps fee discount, so you earned 50% of the points for those discounted transactions.
Points were only awarded for transactions that included a fee. Certain transactions may not have fees at times, including certain prediction market trades, in which case no points were awarded for those transactions.
How many points do I earn for each activity?
Season 1 has ended, but the following table can serve as a reference for how you earned points. The following table shows which actions were eligible for points, and how many points you earned based on the transaction’s equivalent value in USD.

* Supported networks are Ethereum Mainnet, Linea, Monad, OP Mainnet, BSC, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, zkSync, TRON, and Solana.
The points you earned scaled in proportion to the transaction amount. For example, if you swapped $50 worth of USDC on Ethereum Mainnet, you’d have earned 40 points.
MetaMask uses the USD value of the token you’re transacting with at the time the transaction is confirmed on chain.
For example, if you swapped 2 ETH into USDC, your points were calculated by the value of ETH in USD at the time that the swap was confirmed on chain. Because of this, the estimated points shown on the transaction’s confirmation screen may differ slightly from the actual points earned.
How do referrals work?
When somebody used your referral code to sign up for Season 1, that person automatically received 250 additional points as a bonus. As the referrer, you received additional points whenever someone you referred earned points of their own.
You earned 10 points for every 50 points generated by a referred user through swaps and perps trades for the entirety of Season 1.
As an example, let’s say Person A sends their referral code to Person B. Person B signs up and automatically receives 250 bonus points. Then, Person B starts transacting and earning points. For every 50 points Person B earns from trading, Person A earns 10 points.
You won’t be able to see any addresses that use your referral code, but you will be able to see how many points they’ve earned.
You can refer an unlimited number of users, but you will only earn points for those users’ trading activity. You will not earn referral points from referrals they make.
What are Levels?
Levels are the milestones you’ve achieved based on the number of points earned. Every time you reach a new level, you unlock the associated rewards. For the specific rewards offered in the given season, check out our article 'Season hub'.

MetaMask Rewards is not available to users in the United Kingdom.

What data does MetaMask collect to use MetaMask Rewards?
For each address you have opted into MetaMask Rewards, MetaMask tracks the trades made through MetaMask Swaps and Perps. To accurately track your points, MetaMask stores the address that made the trade, the assets in the trade, and the dollar value of each trade. This information is only used to award points – we never share or sell your data.
