How to customize language settings and display

You can change your wallet's language, theme, and account icons within settings.

Language

• Extension
• Mobile

• Click the menu icon in the top right and navigate to 'Settings'.
• Select 'Preferences and display'.
• Choose your preferred language from the language dropdown menu.

• Tap the menu icon in the top right and tap 'Settings'.
• Tap 'General'.
• Scroll down to 'Current language' and choose your preferred language from the drop-down list.

Theme

• Extension
• Mobile

• Click the menu icon in the top right and navigate to 'Settings'.
• Select 'Preferences and display'.
• Choose your preferred theme from the dropdown menu: dark, light, or system.

MetaMask Mobile follows your device's display settings — there's no theme toggle inside the app itself. To switch between dark and light mode, update your device settings:

• iOS: Dark mode
• Android: Dark mode
• Xiaomi: Go to Settings > Display > More Dark Mode options and turn off the toggle next to MetaMask.

Account icon

Your account icon is the small visual identifier shown next to each account. MetaMask offers three styles to choose from:

• Polycons: modern, geometric shapes
• Jazzicons: colorful, abstract geometric shapes
• Blockies: pixel art icons, a classic early Ethereum style

• Select your preferred style under the 'Account icon' section.

• Tap the menu icon in the top right and tap 'Settings'.
• Tap 'General'.
• Scroll down and select your preferred style under the 'Account icon' section.
