How to access your positions during a MetaMask app disruption
Trading perpetual futures in the MetaMask app is executed on Hyperliquid, a third-party decentralized exchange (DEX).
If the MetaMask app is disrupted, you can go straight to the Hyperliquid DEX to manage your open positions and orders, which should not be affected.
Once the disruption is resolved, you can manage your positions in MetaMask as usual.
Access the Hyperliquid DEX
- Go to app.hyperliquid.xyz.
- Select 'Connect' in the top right corner of the dashboard and connect your MetaMask wallet. Make sure you select the same account you trade with on MetaMask Perps.
- Select 'Enable trading'. You'll need to sign a message in your wallet. This is free and doesn't cost gas.
- Open the 'Positions' and 'Orders' tabs to see everything that's open. You can edit or close positions, and cancel or modify orders, from here.

Make sure you connect to the official Hyperliquid app at app.hyperliquid.xyz.
