Get started with MetaMask Card

MetaMask has temporarily paused new Card sign-ups in the United States. Existing Card holders are not affected and can continue using their cards as usual. We'll share more details in due course.
If you're a first time MetaMask Card user, keep reading. If you already have a MetaMask Card, head over to managing your MetaMask Card or spending with your MetaMask Card.
Get started
Before you can start spending crypto in the real world with your MetaMask Card, you need to set up a few things:
- Set up your MetaMask Card account
- Move funds to your preferred, enabled network (Linea, Solana, Base, or Monad)
- Enable tokens for your card
- Add MetaMask Card to your digital wallet
- View your card's PIN
Set up your account
You can sign up natively on MetaMask Mobile (version 8.0 or later). Tap 'Money' in the bottom navbar to open your Money Account.
Then tap 'Card' and follow the steps to sign up.
Eligible users can also find their personal sign-up link under the 'Card' tab in MetaMask Portfolio. This link will allow you to set up your account on our web dashboard, hosted by Crypto Life.
Setting up your account involves adding an email/password, confirming your phone number, and verifying your identity through a secure Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

Enable tokens for spending
MetaMask Card uses Linea, Solana, Base, and Monad to settle transactions. The following networks and tokens are supported for users in the United States:
- Linea: mUSD, USDC, USDT, wETH (wrapped Ether), EURe, and GBPe
- Solana: USDC and USDT
- Base: USDC and USDT
- Monad: USDC
You can also spend mUSD directly from your linked Money Account.
Users in New York and Texas can spend supported tokens on Linea and Base. Solana and Monad are not supported in these states.
When you first set up your card, you'll be prompted to select a network and enable tokens by setting spending limits. You can do these steps later, but you won't be able to spend with MetaMask Card until you have approved tokens and set a spending limit for your chosen network.
You can set spending limits for multiple networks at a time, and then set a priority to decide which tokens on which network should be spent in which order.

Add MetaMask Card to your digital wallet
You can add MetaMask Card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for easy, instant transactions. You can learn how to add MetaMask Card to your digital wallet here.
View your card's PIN
Virtual card users in the United States have a four-digit PIN associated with their card.
You may be prompted to enter your card's PIN when completing a transaction, such as ATM withdrawals or other in-person transactions. To view your card's PIN, head to the 'Manage' tab on your card's web dashboard and click 'View PIN'. A pop-up will appear with your card's four digit PIN code.
Spend and earn
Now that you've set up your account, swapped funds to your chosen network, and delegated tokens to spend using your card, you're ready to start spending and earning mUSD back! You will earn 1% back in mUSD on each transaction (unless you're an existing Metal card user, which earns 3% back on the first $10,000 spent each year and 1% thereafter).
